Privacy is the right of individual to keep personal data private and the right to control one’s own personal data.

Personal data is information and the work that can be linked to a single person.

Contus Økonomi AS processes personal data as an employer, as a provider of services, for marketing purposes and in connection with visits to our website, www.contus.no< /a>.

Privacy is important in Contus Økonomi AS’s deliveries and we are committed to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of personal data.

This privacy statement provides additional information about what personal data is collected, how the information is collected and what rights you have and whether personal data about you is registered with us. The general manager of Contus Økonomi AS is the main controller for the processing of personal data provided by Contus Økonomi AS.

Which processing of personal data is carried out by CONTUS ØKONOMI AS?

1. Customer and residential information

Contus Økonomi AS processes personal data about customers and suppliers to another third party that is necessary for the settlement of contractual obligations.

The legal basis for such processing is the Personal Data Act § 8, first paragraph and § 8 a), b) or f) as well as § 9 a), b) and f).

Among the information that is processed is contact information for contact victims at customers and suppliers.

The personal information is stored in a separate database and deleted five years after the end of the customer contract.

2. Marketing

Contus Økonomi AS processes personal data and marketing purposes. This personal data may be exchanged between Contus Økonomi AS and Contus Økonomi AS’s subsidiaries and sister companies, but will not be disclosed to other västellungsver.

3. Service areas

– ADVISORY SERVICES
Among the advisory services Contus Økonomi AS provides are compliance and investigation, internal audit, transaction support, business management, security and preparedness, etc. The assignments for our customers may involve the processing of personal data on behalf of our customers, including, among other things, personal data, information relating to the employment relationship, financial information, family relationships (connection to politically exposed persons), health information, as well as information about possible criminal offences.

In these assignments, Contus Økonomi AS will be the data processor and will therefore enter into a data processing agreement with the customer as data controller. The data processing agreement will set the framework for Contus Økonomi’s processing of personal data. The specific security measures and the erasure deadline for the processing will appear in each individual data processing agreement. Contus Økonomi AS also assists the customer in meeting the requirements for licences/obligations to report where this is necessary.

– ACCOUNTING SERVICES
Contus Økonomi AS manages all or part of the accounting for customers. Typical personal information that is processed in this connection is, for example, name, birth number and salary information.

In these assignments, Contus Økonomi AS will be the data processor and will therefore enter into a data processing agreement with the customer as data controller. The data processing agreement will set the framework for Contus Økonomi’s processing of personal data. The specific security measures and the erasure deadline for the processing will appear in each individual data processing agreement.

4. Customer control and surveys

Contus Økonomi AS is required to carry out customer checks in accordance with Sections 5, 6 and 15 of the Money Laundering Act, as well as to carry out further investigations if there is a suspicion that a transaction is connected to the proceeds of a criminal offence, cf. Section 17 of the Money Laundering Act.

Among the information that Contus Økonomi AS is required to process in this connection are name/company name, social security number/organization number, permanent address, family relationship (connection to politically exposed persons), and information relating to possible suspicion of criminal relations.

Processing of personal data related to customer control and any duty to investigate may involve processing sensitive personal data, including related to criminal matters.

According to Section 22 of the Money Laundering Act, Contus Økonomi AS is required to keep documents used in connection with customer control for at least five years after the customer relationship has ended or the transaction has been completed, unless longer deadlines follow from other laws or regulations.

Documents and information relating to customer control and any investigations pursuant to Section 17 of the Money Laundering Act are stored in separate databases, protected against unauthorized access by unauthorized persons and deleted within one year after the storage obligation ceases.

Under certain circumstances, Contus Økonomi AS is also required to hand over information to Økokrim, for example if there is a suspicion that a transaction is connected to the proceeds of a criminal offence.

5. Personnel administration

Contus Økonomi AS processes personal data as part of personnel administration. The personal information that is processed in this connection includes personnel, salary information, evaluations, information about relatives, and education/position level.

The legal basis for this processing is Section 8 letter f of the Personal Data Act.

Personal information related to personnel administration is stored as long as the person concerned is employed by Contus Økonomi AS. Personal information about applicants for positions is deleted one year after the person concerned applied for a position at Contus Økonomi AS, unless the person concerned is employed.

Your rights

Contus Økonomi’s processing of personal data is regulated by the Personal Data Act and related regulations. Your rights in relation to our processing of personal data appear, among other things, in Chapters III and IV of the Personal Data Act. Some of the most central rights are presented below:

  • RIGHT OF ACCESS
    Anyone who requests it has the right to know what kind of processing of personal data Contus Økonomi AS undertakes, as well as basic information about this processing. If this is not possible, and the document that contained the deleted information therefore gives an obviously misleading picture, the entire document must be deleted. Contus Økonomi AS must respond to inquiries about access or other rights in accordance with the Personal Data Act § 18, § 22, § 25, § 26, § 27 and § 28 without undue delay and at the latest within 30 days from the day the inquiry was received, unless special circumstances make it impossible to respond to the inquiry within this deadline. In that case, Contus Økonomi AS must give a preliminary answer with information about the reason for the delay and the likely time when an answer can be given.

Contus Økonomi AS has its own data protection representative who assists with guidance so that personal data is processed in a good way and in line with the regulations.

The Privacy Commissioner is a voluntary scheme and is administered by the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Requests for access, correction and deletion, as well as notifications of deviations, are handled by the data protection representative.
